The Hunt Club offers a happy and healthy educational environment

With Cranbourne East Secondary College and Cranbourne East Primary School welcoming their first students at the beginning of 2011, The Hunt Club can now proudly boast of our own educational facilities right within the estate. These two state-of-the-art educational centres are located on the same site, with students having access to a number of amenities including the gymnasium and theatre.

With both these institutions offering quality facilities and excellent teaching staff, residents at The Hunt Club have the educational requirements of their children catered for within walking distance.

Additionally, there are extensive education choices in the vicinity including kindergarten and pre-school, state and religious primary and secondary schools as well as tertiary level education. These include Casey Grammar, Cranbourne Secondary College, Cranbourne Primary, The Chisholm Institute of TAFE and the Marnebek School for students with an intellectual disability.

The Future Hunt Club Shopping Centre

Planning approval has been granted for Stage 1 of the Hunt Club Village Shopping Centre by the Casey City Council. Negotiations are currently being finalised with a major supermarket tenant. Other tenancies anticipated in Stage 1 are a chemist, various fresh food operators, newsagent with a TattsLotto facility, hairdresser and beauty, bakery, liquor and cafe, amongst others.

It is our hope to commence the first stage of our local shopping centre including a supermarket at The Hunt Club this year.

The site allows for further expansion of the centre in the future, subject to approvals by the local municipality.

The Hunt Club endorses a healthy and active lifestyle for its residents

One of the most spectacular features of The Hunt Club is the vast network of parks, open spaces and wetlands that seem to sprawl endlessly within the estate. With coverage of approximately 20 hectares, these lush natural areas are irrigated using Class A recycled water throughout the year.

The Hunt Club boasts more than 10 kilometres of walking and bicycle paths, a network that is extremely conducive to an active and healthy lifestyle. Numerous environmental features have been taken into consideration in developing The Hunt Club wetlands, including the utilisation of stormwater run-off from the estate as well as a natural waterway.

A large recreational reserve is located next to the estate's own schools, hosting a wide range of sporting activities. Within Cranbourne there are two public golf courses, the Cranbourne Racecourse & Recreation Reserve as well as greyhound and harness racing clubs. Right next door to The Hunt Club is Casey Fields, a massive complex featuring a football stadium, ovals, soccer pitches, tennis courts and more.

Nearby, you'll also find eight Australian Rules football and cricket ovals, two rugby fields, a grass athletic track, 20 tennis courts, the Cranbourne Indoor Pool and the renowned Casey Aquatic and Leisure Centre that houses a massive waterpark and slide.

Rest assured you'll have no problem finding a club or facility in the area that will suit your needs, regardless of your age, hobbies and interests.

Getting around Cranbourne and The Hunt Club via public transport

Route 898 combined with the long-established Route 896 bus services provide the convenience of regular transportation between The Hunt Club and Cranbourne Railway Station.

Route 898 encompasses Rochester Parade, Scotsdale Drive, Foxwood Drive, Broad Oak Drive and Bradford Drive, with a terminus established near Archers Field Drive. Buses on this new route run between the hours of 5am and 9pm on weekdays, with peak frequencies of 25 minutes.

Of course, residents can also access the alternative Route 896, which is the rail extension service from Cranbourne Railway Station traversing a portion of the estate along Hunt Club Boulevard, Scotsdale Drive and Rochester Parade at regular intervals. This service connects with every train to and from the Melbourne CBD every day of the week.

The Victorian Government has also announced plans for a Cranbourne East railway station, with specific details regarding location and launch date yet to be released.

Activities and places of interest to suit everyone's taste and budget

Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne contains one of Victoria's most precious areas of native bushland, and is home to an amazing range of plant and animal life, including several rare and endangered species. Untouched healthy woodlands and wetlands cover two-thirds of the 363-hectare site and provide The Hunt Club residents with a unique opportunity to explore pristine environments within just a few minutes' drive.

Mornington Peninsula highlights to enjoy

With the South Gippsland Highway running through the centre of Cranbourne, residents are in close proximity to all of the Mornington Peninsula's attractions - wineries, beaches, golf courses and weekend escapes galore.

With the Melbourne CBD to the west and Phillip Island to the east, The Hunt Club offers residents the very best of both worlds. Meanwhile, drive down Thompsons Road and you will find yourself at the shores of Port Phillip Bay within half an hour.

Cranbourne is also home to dozens of restaurants, pubs, arts and entertainment venues, so residents are certain to find the right option for their taste and budget.
